How to resize image to 600×600
Resize your image to exactly 600×600 pixels. Crop to fit is selected by default so the image keeps its natural proportions.
Why use File Chisel?
File Chisel is designed around the outcome you need rather than a long list of technical settings. Choose a supported image, set the requirement, process it, and download a separate finished copy.
Is my image uploaded?
For the image tool on this page, processing happens in your browser using browser image APIs. The source file is not sent to a File Chisel server by this application.
What happens to the original?
Your original stays on your device. File Chisel creates a separate output file for download.
Tips for a better result
- Use JPG for photographs when transparency is not required.
- Use the exact target size when a website or form provides a KB or MB limit.
- For very large images, reducing dimensions can cut file size more than quality changes alone.
Frequently asked questions
Will this crop my image to 600×600?
By default, yes. Crop to fit preserves the image proportions and trims the excess edges to fill the requested dimensions. You can also choose Fit inside to preserve the entire image or Stretch if you intentionally want to force the dimensions.
Will File Chisel distort my image?
Not when Crop to fit or Fit inside is selected. Stretch is the only mode that changes the image proportions.
Is my original changed?
No. File Chisel creates a new downloadable image.
